Under the California Public Records Act § 6250 et seq., I am requesting an opportunity to inspect or obtain copies of any and all records, files, reports, results, findings, correspondence, notes, video recording, audio recordings, photographs, any and all investigative materials pertaining to the downed power line incident that occurred on February 26, 2016 on Magnolia at or near Bonita Canyon in the City of Cabazon, California. We represent Southern California Edison Company in the matter of Ashley Pingree, et al. v. Southern California Edison, Case No. RIC1611688, pending in Superior Court Of California, County of Riverside. Our client, Southern California Edison Company, is the owner of the subject utility pole. We are requesting all records related to that investigation as noted above.
If there are any fees for searching or copying these records, please inform me and we will be happy to reimburse you for such expenses.
The release of these records has been authorized by Resolution No. L-583 issued by the California Public Utilities Commission on August 6, 2019.
The California Public Records Act requires a response within ten business days. If access to the records I am requesting will take longer, please contact me with information about when I might expect copies or the ability to inspect the requested records. If you deny any or all of this request, please cite each specific exemption you feel justifies the refusal to release the information and notify me of the appeal procedures available to me under the law.
